Pickle by Keyvalue Software Systems
Effective Date: March 23, 2026 | Last Updated: April 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Keyvalue Software Systems Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you access or use Pickle, including the mobile application, website, mobile web app, and related services available at Pickleit.ai (collectively, the “Service”).
Pickle is an AI-powered content creation product that enables users to upload photos, select templates or styles, generate AI-enhanced images or videos, save creations, manage subscriptions, and share outputs. When you use AI generation features, personal photos and related template data may be transmitted to Google (Gemini) and to third-party video generation providers (currently KLING and/or Higgsfield, depending on the template and how our service is configured) solely for inference (to produce your requested output), as described in Section 7, Section 10, and Section 11. This Policy applies to visitors, account holders, paying users, and all individuals who interact with the Service.
By using Pickle, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the Service (including acceptable use, subscriptions, user content, and generated outputs). The Terms and this Policy should be read together. If you do not agree with either document, please do not use the Service.
Depending on how you use Pickle, we may collect the following categories of information:
We collect information:
We use personal data for the following business and operational purposes:
We do not use your uploaded photos, generated outputs, or any user content to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. Your content is processed solely to deliver the Service to you. Third-party AI providers engaged by Pickle are contractually prohibited from using your content for their own model training purposes.
For how photos that may depict faces are handled and transmitted to named vendors for inference only, see Section 7 (Face-Related Information in User Photos).
The Pickle mobile application does not use Apple Face ID, TrueDepth, or similar technologies to capture a biometric face map or facial geometry for authentication or identification. We do not collect structured “face scan” data separate from the images you choose to upload.
When you use personalization features, photos from your camera or photo library may depict faces (yours or, where you have obtained permission, other people). Those images are treated as user content under this Policy.
Transmission to AI vendors for inference only. Personal photos you upload may be transmitted to Google (via the Gemini service) and to KLING and/or Higgsfield solely to perform automated inference: that is, to run the specific image or video generation you request and return outputs to Pickle for your use. Google Gemini is used for AI image generation and, where the product includes video creation, for image or frame preparation steps in the video workflow; KLING or Higgsfield is used for AI video generation depending on the template and service configuration. We do not transmit your photos to those vendors for advertising profiling, unrelated analytics, or purposes beyond providing the generation you initiated. Facial appearance in your photos is processed only as part of the image pixels you submit, not as a standalone biometric identifier that Pickle extracts, stores separately, or sells for face recognition services.
Training and model improvement. As stated in Section 6 (AI Model Training), we do not use your uploaded photos, generated outputs, or other user content to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models, and our arrangements with vendors prohibit them from using your content for their own model training.
Storage, sharing, and retention. Uploaded photos and generated outputs are stored and otherwise processed on our systems and with the subprocessors listed in Section 10 (Sharing and Disclosure of Data), Section 11 (Third-Party Services), and Section 12 (Data Retention).
Rules for what you may upload, likeness of others, AI-generated content, and prohibited conduct are set out in our Terms and Conditions (including sections on user content, AI-generated content, and acceptable use).
For users in India, we process digital personal data in accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and other applicable legal requirements. Where required, we will seek consent or rely on another lawful basis recognised under applicable law.
Where laws outside India apply, we will process data on the basis of consent, contract performance, legitimate business interests, compliance with legal obligations, protection of rights, or other lawful grounds as applicable.
Pickle relies on the following third-party tools and vendors to operate the Service. For AI features, personal photos you upload may be sent only to the named inference providers below (together with template or style data needed for your request), as summarised in Section 7. Video jobs use KLING or Higgsfield according to template and deployment settings, not necessarily both in a single request:
| Service | Purpose | Data Processed |
|---|---|---|
| Google Gemini | AI image generation; image or frame preparation for the video generation workflow | Uploaded photos, template selections, prompts or parameters required for the job |
| KLING | AI video generation (when selected for the job) | Uploaded photos, template selections, prompts or parameters required for the job |
| Higgsfield | AI video generation (when selected for the job) | Uploaded photos, template selections, prompts or parameters required for the job |
| Firebase (Google) | Push notifications, cloud storage | Device tokens, uploaded media |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Purchase history, entitlement status, customer IDs |
| Mixpanel | Analytics and event tracking | Usage events, device info, session data |
| AWS S3 | Media storage | Uploaded photos, generated outputs |
| AWS Rekognition | Optional automated moderation of still images on upload (when enabled in our environment) | Image content submitted for policy checks |
| WhatsApp (Meta) | Optional sharing from your device | When you choose “Share to WhatsApp,” content is sent from your device via the WhatsApp app if installed; we do not operate a separate server-side WhatsApp Business API for routine sharing. |
| Apple App Store | Subscription billing (iOS) | Purchase and billing data |
| Google Play Store | Subscription billing (Android) | Purchase and billing data |
| Google Fonts | Font delivery | Network requests for font assets |
These third parties may process data under their own privacy terms. Inference providers process inputs to return outputs for your session and are contractually restricted from using your content for model training, consistent with Section 6. We encourage you to review their policies where relevant. How you may use the Service alongside these vendors is also subject to our Terms and Conditions (Third-Party Services).
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Specific retention periods are as follows:
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, loss, misuse, and alteration. These safeguards include:
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and devices secure.
Your personal data is primarily processed in India. However, certain third-party service providers may process data in other jurisdictions, including:
All international transfers are subject to applicable law and reasonable contractual or operational safeguards to protect your personal data.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
This section summarises privacy aspects of content you submit. Contractual obligations (representations, licences, restrictions, and enforcement) are set out in full in our Terms and Conditions and related sections (including AI-generated content and acceptable use).
If you upload photos, videos, or other content containing another person, you represent that you have all rights, permissions, and consents necessary to submit that content and to authorise its processing by Pickle.
Your uploaded photos, including those containing faces, are processed by third-party AI services solely for the purpose of generating your requested output. Facial features are not extracted by Pickle into a separate biometric database for identification services. As stated in Section 6 (AI Model Training), your content is not used to train or improve AI models. For a dedicated summary of photos that may depict faces, transmission to Google (Gemini) and to KLING and/or Higgsfield for inference only, storage, and retention, see Section 7 (Face-Related Information in User Photos).
We may remove, block, or investigate content that appears unlawful, infringing, abusive, invasive of privacy, or inconsistent with our Terms and Conditions.
Pickle is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such data promptly.
For users aged 13 to 17, we comply with the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) regarding processing of children’s data, including obtaining verifiable parental or guardian consent where required under applicable law.
You may close your account from within the Pickle mobile app (which calls our account-deletion API). That flow immediately marks your account as deleted, revokes sign-in sessions, and removes push notification device tokens, as described in Section 12 (Data Retention). It does not guarantee immediate removal of every stored upload or generated file from our databases and object storage.
To request full deletion or anonymisation of personal data associated with your account (including stored media where feasible), data access, correction, or other privacy-related assistance, please contact us at pickle@keyvalue.systems with sufficient information for identity verification.
Upon receiving a verified request that includes erasure of stored content, we will delete or anonymise the personal data covered by that request within a reasonable period (we typically target within 30 days), except where retention is required for legal, tax, billing, dispute resolution, or regulatory compliance purposes. Subscription and payment records held by third parties (RevenueCat, Apple, Google) are subject to their respective retention policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the website, app, push notification, email, account notices, or other reasonable means. The updated version will become effective on the stated effective date.
Your continued use of the Service after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.
